Do to MGM's situation (and by situation I mean going bankrupt) this perfect little gem was shelved for a few years and now may get lost in the hoopla of early summer film talk. I can't let that happen. I won't let that happen.<br />

I'm only going to say this once. You can believe me or think I'm totally full of shit (you'll see I was right later). Of all the films you see this year, this is the one movie you don't want to miss because the next thing you know your friends will be saying,"You haven't seen <a href="http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1259521/">The Cabin In The Woods</a> yet?" And I will be saying,"I told you so."<br />

What's this movie about? Don't really want to tell you. Not because I'm being an ass, but because I think the less you know the better time you'll have. Unfortunately their are a few spoilers in the trailer but none as significant as the ending to this film.<br />
<br />
If your still dying to know what it's about then I'll give you this plot detail (don't read if you want to go in truly blank): This movie is about five people, who should be every bit the stereotype, that go to a cabin in the woods. They're not, however they are made into those stereotypes in order to be killed by your favorite movie monsters. Why you ask? Oh, now that's the joy of this ending. Can't give that away. You'll thank me later.<br />

The film, written by <a href="http://www.imdb.com/name/nm0923736/">Joss Whedon</a> and Drew Goddard in only 3 days, was picked up by genre lover Lions Gate.<br />

<b>What You Need To Know:</b><br />

<li>This is a horror comedy and it is every bit a horror as it is a comedy. </li>
<li>April 13th release date. </li>
<li>It's rated R for,"strong bloody horror violence and gore, language, drug use, and some sexuality/nudity." Need I say more? </li>
<li>Joss Whedon wrote this. </li>
<li><a href="http://www.imdb.com/name/nm1206844/">Drew Goddard</a> wrote this. </li>
<li>It's funny. </li>
<li>Did I forget to mention it's rated R?</li>
<li>Chris Hemsworth, aka THOR, is in this.</li>
<li>And it's rated R</li>

I think YouTube user MegaOrwell1984 said it best with, "WTF, this doesn't even seem real, this seems like a parody of how racist that era was." But it is real my friend, very, very real. And it wasn't that long ago. The TV spot for the film <a href="http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0141532/">MY BABY IS BLACK</a> was not shot a hundred years ago. It was shot in the 1960s.<br />

The people that where suppose to be horrified by this film still walk among us! Does this bother me? Hell no, they'll be dead soon. But we'll always have the memories (sarcasm). This film should be preserved forever along with its trailer. Preserved for those who just don't believe this was ever real.<br />

Opening this week to (surprisingly) great reviews is 21 JUMP STREET. Now don't call this a remake. It's more of a sequel as the film is suppose to take place years, and years, and... years after the original show.<br />
<br />
Now don't expect any drama in this. It's a straight comedy. Actually it is a very self aware comedy. The film constantly pokes fun at the action film genre, however it doesn't really make fun of the show.<br />
<br />
Expect cameos from the original <a href="http://www.imdb.com/title/tt1232829">21 JUMP STREET</a> cast that actually fit into the plot of the film (believe it or not).<br />
<br />
<b>What You Need To Know:</b><br />
<ul style="text-align: left;">
<li>Again, this is a comedy and NOT a drama like the original TV series. </li>
<li>This film is actually funny. No really, it is. however this is your typical raunchy bromance comedy which has become popular since 40 YEAR OLD VIRGIN (though to a lesser degree in terms of writing skill). So if you prefer your comedy to be PG then pass on this. </li>
<li>This is one of the best performances by Jonah Hill, and <a href="http://www.imdb.com/name/nm1475594/">Channing Tatum</a> you will see. </li>
<li>The trailer doesn't do this film ANY justice. To put it bluntly, it sucks ass in comparison to the film. </li>
<li>All but one original 21JUMP STREET cast member agreed to do a cameo but you still "see" that person anyway. </li>
</ul>
<ul style="text-align: left;">
<li>Again, this film is a hard R' so don't hop in the car with your mom, grandpa, and five year old child to see this.</li>
